Default Missing My Boxster

Had a 996, then a Spec Boxster, and now race a radical sr3.
I have a Miata, but I miss driving the boxster. Any thoughts on buying a 986, upgrading pads, suspension, removing the convertible, adding a hard top and using on street/track?

I owned a 1993 Miata and put 345,789 miles on her. I currently own a 2004 Boxster S. I don't like dual purpose, street/track cars. They are neither good on the street, nor competitive on the track. I'd turn the Miata into a track car and buy a Boxster for the street.
