Default 986 aftermarket seats options

I am just about totally exhausted trying to rebuild the seat in my 02 boxster s. I have had 4 other 03-04 boxsters and the seat on this one is just destroyed from a very heavy former owner.

What options are out there for purchasing aftermarket seats that fit well in these cars? I dont want to spend more than necessary (under $1200), and I want them to be comfortable for daily driving.

Can anyone share experiences or pictures of new seats purchased and installed in a 986?

This is something I'd consider, but I dont think they will look that nice in the car. http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Cor...g-Seat/809996/

Why not just buy a used Porsche seat from a 986/996/987/997?

there are many good used 986 996 seats for 800-1000

i personally do not like the way the stock seats fit me and have aftermarket fixed back seats
base+side mount runs 200-400 and many seats that run 200-5000

Looking for info on aftermarket seats. Can anyone suggest after market seat makes/models/pics? I cant seem to find any installations of anything aftermarket in these cars.

Where do you live?

Where I am, I could take the seat to an auto upholstery place and he would rebuild the seat from the frame up with new padding and new leather or other material.

Default couple seat ideas

My 2000 Boxster S- we put in the hardback sport seats (painted to match) out of a 987 Cayman. Fit great, look great, very comfortable.

My son put Racetech race seats in his 01 Boxster- the challenge was getting them low enough for him (he's nearly 6' 5") .

For streat use and occasional track visit, I have loved the Recaro SRD's-- never had a fitment issue in any of my cars.

Talk to Tim at Trackfirst-- he's quite a whiz on seats- https://www.track-first.com/

I put in Recaro Sports Seats (reclining) and I love them. Cost just over 2k from Stable Energies in NJ. They fit me pretty much the same as the OEM seats.
