My driver door panal is shot from the wreck and now I'm looking for a new one, the dealer wants $650 for it. Anyone know of anywhere else I could get one? Called all the hot porsche yards and it seems my panal is very rare. 99 Boxster it doesn't have a smooth finish, but almost like a basket ball pattern, but instead of small circles it's small diamond shapes and black in color. The guy at the dealership said he had never seen it in a Boxster. I took the bad panal to an upolstry shop and he said if I could get the material he'd get me all set for $150, more my price range, unless of course the material is the costly part. Anyone know where I could get the material? Anything would be greatly appriciated. Thanks, -Drew

That diamond texture is the sport design option. Includes sport seats with painted backs, painted center console and instrument cluster surround, and 3 spoke steering wheel. Do not know where you can get the material. Jeff

 

yea thats a toughie, its pretty uncommon, best bet is bite your tongue and take the dealer's, you might try with that LA porsche warehouse though
