2nd autocross with C4S
I switched from stock wheels and tires to 19" OZ Leggera in 8.5 in the front and 11 in the rear with Bridgestone RE71's. 255 up front and 305 in the rear. Set FTD both days but 2nd in PAX by 0.09 the first day and 0.04 the second. So I'm close. Next I will probably add some negative camber front and rear and maybe a little toe in the rear to calm down some of the oversteer. It's not bad, and very controllable, but I think I will be quicker with a little less. I guess the only other thing I might do is a catback exhaust.

I have to be in ASP because of the 295s in the rear (I am assuming you do as well, or maybe just AS). I am on Sumitomo HRT IIIs which I adore for street driving/price point, but dont seem very competitive in autoX. The lack of 200 wear rating tires that come in 295, or 305/30r18 makes things very difficult.

Good work man. I have a RWD converted '03 4S on PSS10s and I am very uncompetitive in ASP. SO I guess you're a better driver than I am ha ha.

Thanks. I'm in SS, all stock. I'm assuming you're in ASP because of the PSS10 coilovers. It's tough to find decent tires in a 295 18. Since you are in ASP you could get another set of wheels and run Hoosier A7's. Great tire, with a ton of grip and you'll be ftd before you know it.

Possibly a dumb question, but is there more room for front tires on the C4s vs a standard 996.2 C2? I've been running stock sized RE71R and wanting more front tire as I'm maxing out at 1 deg front neg camber. Some people say 255 fits on the 18s but it rubs on the wells, others say it rubs on the suspension. A test fit is the best option, but I don't really have that option in the near future.
Also, nice times in a 996. These are pretty under-represented at non-PCA events.

Good question. I know the turbo guys run 265s in front with minimal issues. Im going to go 265 front 315 rear on my 4S this spring. The steering knuckles are different, but I would imagine the tire sizes they can fit are very similar. 255 will definitely fit in front on a C2, I've seen it, you might need 7mm spacers.
