Confirm class for 997.2 C4S SCCA and PCA
Hey guys,
I am hoping to take my new (to me) C4S out tomorrow for her first autocross.
Can you guys confirm my classing for both SCCA and PCA events?
Thanks in advance!
2010 C4S
PS10 coilover shocks, Front GT3 adjustable lower control arms, Sway bar links, Front camber bar, Front axles shimmed for better reliability on axles due to the negative camber settings on front Alignment. Rear GT3 sway bar. Set ride height. Corner balanced. Performed track alignment. Installed roll bar, 5 point harnesses, Antisubmarine bars both seats. DME programming. Works carbon fiber intake, Intake plenum, Catalytic converters are gutted. Brembo Gran Tourismo Brakes, Yellow Pagid RS pads front and rear. Stainless steel brake lines. ATE racing brake fluid. Installed lightweight flywheel and clutch disc pressure plate and flywheel, 997.1 GT3RS rear wing

autocross, with maybe 80 events per year from different clubs, within a
2-hour radius. All year too. It gets down to mid-50s in winter, and
occasionally it even rains. Life is tough.

Dang, so sorry! I'm lucky. Ours does all-day 10-12 run events, maybe 15 or so events per year. I think the S.F. Bay area is the universal center of

Coolness, where is that? If I have to start a whole new life somewhere
else, needless to say, I have to know the autocross prospects. I don't
know why the SCCA or AARP or something don't have a national map
with statistics to help people make rational relocation decisions...

Old Dominion Region SCCA - VA Beach, VA
Tidewater Sports Car Club - VA Beach, VA
Virginia Motor Sports Club - Richmond, VA
NASA Mid-Atlantic - usually around Richmond, VA. Also does winter events.
TSCC hosts the track attacks at Academi in Moyock, NC and Gripfest events at Garysburg, NC.
It's good as far as action goes, but with the exception of ACU4 on Little Creek Amphib base (TSCC hosts about 6 events per year there, including the state championship), the sites are not that great. And it's a longass drive to most ProSolo and National Tours; I think there are better places to move if you want to autocross. Ohio and Chicago come to mind, though they get cold. I do like that I can run summer tires all year around! Seems like San Francisco has a pretty sweet deal.
