19" wheels for the GT4 wanted...
Hi all. In order to run competitively in SCCA SS, we'll need the stickiest
200tw tires, such as the Bridgestone RE-71R. Unfortunately there aren't
any good ones in 20", so we can go to 19" wheels... If anyone finds some
8.5"x19" wheels and 11"x19" wheels that work, do let us know!
Thanks!

Tire Rack stocks 19" x 11" wheels with the Porsche bolt pattern and a 56 mm offset: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...oModClar=Coupe
Could run them as-is and be class legal, or run a small spacer to exactly match the stock offset. Pretty spendy, though.
I haven't looked for 9" wheels, but if you play around with different cars in Tire Rack's configurator, I bet you'd be able to find some.

You can always get some Forgestars made to order. They only have a few designs to choose from, but you can name your width, offset, and finish. "Cheap" isn't the right word, but they're less than what PedalFaster linked to.
I know they are the go-to for Mustang autocrossers looking to lose a little weight over the factory wheels. And IMHO not terrible looking:
EDIT: Just realized the 19x11 Superforgiata is 18.8lbs. That's amazing. Guess that's why they can charge $1,800/ea.

for SCCA, the rears have to be 19x11 and the offset has to be with 7mm of the factory 50mm. The offset can be corrected with spacers, but to get them to fit, they need to effectively be 44 or 45 mm.
the fronts have to be within 7 mm of the factory 61mm, so a minimum of 54mm... so the OZ fronts are out. Unless you can find a set of the Huck and Chuck or KaleCo negative offset wheel spacers.

Very nice wheels, but unfortunately the GT4, like other Caymans, need to run a 8.5” front wheel, and it doesn’t look like you offer that size. This is why I went with a set of Forgeline GA1R Open Lug.
OEM specs are:
Front 8.5" x 20" - 61mm offset,
Rear 11" x 20" - 50mm offset
So you'll need run 8.5x19, 54 - 68 offset and 11x19, 43 - 57 offset to be SCCA Solo SS class legal.

In our Track Spec MonoBloc series we offer ranges 8" to 13"
In fact we're running a special on the sizes needed for the GT4.

And note that the PCCBs may require extra space than steel brakes, so for GT4s like mine-to-be
with PCCBs, we need to make sure the 8.5"x19 fronts and 11"x19" rears clear everything, brakes
and suspension joint knuckles etc. For some wheel manufacturers they have (and will need) a
modular built-up wheel to get that clearance.

The full SCCA Solo stock class wheel spec is:
13.4 WHEELS
Any type wheel may be used provided it complies with the following:
A. It is the same width as standard and as installed it does not have an
offset more than ±7.00 mm (±0.275”) from a standard wheel for the car.
The resultant change in track dimensions is allowed.
B. Wheel (rim) diameter may be increased or decreased 1” from the standard
part.
Wheel spacers are permitted provided the resultant combination complies
with the offset requirements of this Section. On vehicles supplied
with an OE wheel spacer, the wheel spacer shall be considered as a part
of the wheel. Wheel studs, lug nuts, valve stems (including pressure-relief
types), and/or bolt length may be changed. Tire pressure monitoring sensors
may be removed.
They can be 1" smaller in diameter than stock.

Looking for the Same 19" wheels here. Has to Clear PCCBs and meet the rules.
Looking to run this setup at all the West Coast National SCCA events this year. If the car is competitive enough, it will go to Nationals too.

I got one professional say that no 19"ers will clear the PCCB calipers. I can't be 100% sure he's
right, but he is absolutely hands-on with GT4s and racing, so I have to go with that, and just got
in under the wire redoing my order to go to the standard brakes...

Bridgestone is scheduled to release the OEM GT4 20" sizes in the RE71Rs, although I don't know why they would release the front size in March and the rear in August. Hopefully they will move up the date for the rear size.
245/35R20 - 3/1
295/30R20 - 8/1
You could maybe get away with running BFGoodrich Rivals in 265/35r20 and 285/30r20 in the meantime.
