285 front tire fitment
I have a 997.1 tt with Cup lower arms and spacers on the drive shaft to widen the front track for more camber.
On my car, I can fit a Hoosier 255/35-18 (which is actually about an 275) on rolled stock fenders. There is no more clearance between the strut springs to go wider without cut or flared fenders.
I did see and 997.2 TT at an event and he had no problem fitting 285-30-18 (which is actually about a 295-305 tire) Hoosiers on stock fenders which is a 1.0" wider in section width.
I am using KW V2 revalved shocks. The only way I can see going wider on stock fenders is if the springs were way shorter and the perch was higher than the tire, which is not possible on the KWs as I already have the perch as high as it will go.
