At least on 987s, Sport Chrono also replaces the soft rev limiter (and accompanying power cut) with a hard one.

No, the allowances to hack ECUs to defeat stability control were proposed in an early revision of the Street class rules but were removed long before the rules were finalized.

Depends what you consider "hack." From page 76, 13.9 G.:

G. On cars without the ability to turn off electronic stability control and/
or traction control (ESC/TC) from the manufacturer, modifications to
defeat the ESC/TC are permitted. These modification are limited to
altering the inputs to the ESC/TC processor (e.g., removing fuses,
unplugging yaw or steering angle sensors, altering signals) and may
serve no other purpose. Any codes or error lights resulting from ESC/
TC modifications are permitted.

Huh, I didn't realize that had made it in. I stand partially corrected.

I only know this because I was corrected as well earlier this year.

I see someone's already posted the correction.

That allowance was what convinced me to got the electronic diff on our previous car. Once I knew I could defeat it if necessary.

Unless we can turn it all the way off (and keep it off), I would have to unplugged the yaw sensor.

Who knows how to do this? Who has fully disabled PSM?
