CO2
Anybody use CO2 for airing tires up at the track? I use one of these http://www.powertank.com/start.htm
on my off-road rig to air up and to run air tool and was wondering how it work in this situation as the tires get a lot hotter

I have a 5 gallon air tank that I fill up at the local gas station with 'normal'/compressed air. It holds about 150 psi, and it works great for autocross and track events.
IMO, it's probably safer and cheaper than the CO2 systems. (The tank ran be about $25.00!)

I just use a portable 12V air compressor.
Add air in the morning (only a few PSI of a low volume tire so it takes only about 5-10 minutes not like airing-up 31.x10.5 tires fromo 15-30 psi ).
Then take air out as the tires warm up during the day with the ambient air temp to keep them at their optimal.
