Has anyone tried this stuff ? is it better than just using Blue painters tape?

For auto-x and weekend track events.

Looks like plstic wrap from the store. Wonder if you use the good stuff, how well it would work. Think I will try it on my beater...

For AX, I use contact paper from HD. $7/roll.. Use it on the sides and front corners. Just role it out and use a plastic knife to cut the doors open. Done.

 

I use a good coating of wax. Blue painters tape and other plastic wraps looks terrible out there. Its a very rare cone (that you would have to hit at high speed head on) that would cause damage to a car with a good wax.
