Default kumho v700

If stars will align and I get 9" f 12"r 18" rims - I see tirerack now has kumho v700 tires in 265mm/335mm on sale for funny prices - like $98f $199r.

are those tires worth even those money? it s kinda good deal - $600 for whole setup.
how are those v700 kumhos compared to toyo ra1 if they get heat cycled and shaved first?

Do you mean the Victoracer V700 or the ECSTA V700?

I ran the Victoracers for years on my SC and then went to RA1s when khumo stopped making the Victoracers. They are soft. IMHO, they will not last as long as the RA1s do, even if shaved and heat cycled. I've run full tread, shaved, heat cycled and not heat cycled and to be fair, the only differences I ever saw were between shaved or not. If unshaved, they could sometimes have small chunks, but never enough to ruin the tire.

Will a 335 fit on the back of a narrowbody (yours doesn't look like an "S") I thought only 305s could fit in the rear of the narrowbody.

base and 'S' 997.1 cars have same ***. I know 315 fits there on 12" rims. 335 - not sure.

tirerack has ECSTA V700. point is they sell `em now for $600 all 4 tires rear and front. dirt cheap, it s less than for 2 rear RA1 toyos.
they come with 6/32 thread so it has to be shaved to 4/32 at least.

The ecsta v700 is NOT as good as the RA1. Not as sticky. May last longer. Could be a reason why they are so cheap.

Some reason I thought the "S" cars had the wider bodywork to go with their greater hp.

Heh, greater hp... my C2 now has more HP than C2S stock... and if i will finally give up an idea to be within my class i will put tpc turbo o nit to get it into 450hp on wheels territory. will see, cpo status expires 2012, so, after that will be engine rework time one way o the other.

In 997 cars C4, C4S and turbos have wide hips, C2 an C2S are same, almost same with gt3.

I got those v700s, shaved, total is $730 including delivery, in 265 fronts, 335 rears. too bad they did not have 315 rears for same discount price, 335 may be too wide. will see. for such money it is hard to object too much, 2 rear 335
RA1 alone would be costlier. it will go on ccw c14 rims, 9" front 12" rear - i got `em.

i called frisbys - they say they are out of RA1s now in my sizes and they have no idea when it will come back if it will. pretty sad. those were good tires.
