Where To Tape?

Where To Tape?
I'm going to try AX this summer with the 996TT. Just for fun, and to learn the car better since I am still very new to it. I have 5 years AX experience with a variety of cars (944, 951, M3), but never a 996.
Basically, I don't want to scrape up the paint/car any more than necessary. I'm wondering, what specific spots do people put tape on their car to thwart off little rocks/pebbles/stone chips, and the ever possible cone strike.
Does anyone have any pictures of their 996's (any 996) with tape on it. I would like to see the locations you placed it. I'd like to try and avoid taping up the entire car ya know?

Cover any paint 6 inches fore and aft of each wheel, and the whole leading
edge of the rear quarter panels (they're concave, so they catch stuff), including the full
lip of the air-scoop to the intercoolers. For some reason my 996tt collected *lots* of
pits there, as if the incoming air brought more than it's share of pebbles.
As to cone marks, a good coat of wax on the front clip and the leading edge
of the rear quarter panel, as well as tape if your being really careful.
WARNING FOR 996TT AUTOCROSSERS: DON'T RUN ANY CONE UNDER YOUR FRONT
BUMPER. THE RADIATORS ARE EXPOSED ENOUGH ON THE UNDERSIDE THAT THE
WEAK PLASTIC HOSE FITTING CAN BE BROKEN OFF BY A RUN-OVER CONE. YOU'LL
DROP FLUID, BE TOWED AWAY, AND NEED A NEW EXPENSIVE RADIATOR. I BUILT
SOME SHEET-METAL SHIELDS TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.

Let me know the events you will be attending. I have a roll of 12" wide slightly sticky protective film that I used to use. It sticks well to a clean car and strips clean, just need to tape the edges.
Of course Pete would be glad to do it for you. Just buy the tape by the pallet load.
