I will never go back to PS2s for autocross. They performed well, but I destroyed them too fast. Too expensive to run.
I liked the PS2s quite a bit, tho, and will probably continue to run them for street.

Well, I ran another a/x, this time back in my home region. I definitely improved against the field of known competitors.
I am very happy with the tires. I was able to pitch/catch, brake extremely hard, toss the car around, and generally have a great feel and excellent grip. I had been running around 40-50 out of ~100, this time I was 27th out of 111.
My timed runs improved each run, and I would say that the tires get better as they warm up, contrary to what some people have said.

I have a little update of my own. I took my new-to-me A4 to AutoX with the 50% worn Falken 912 all-seasons (360 treadwear) it came with and I was very surprised to do as well as I did. Even the cheaper, crappy all-seasons seem to do well. I'm really liking Falkens so I bought a set of 615s and wrapped them on a set of light BBS wheels for AutoX. I still plan to buy the 452s for everyday use.
