Default A Photo Is Worth A Thousand Words!

My son, his friend and I went auto crossing last Sunday. I think the officials pulled out the most horrible track map they had and laid it out for us. My 997S pushed so badly, I kept going off track. Be sure to turn off your traction control before your auto cross run! I could NOT get the car to turn. With TC on it would not rotate. But, check out this picture. The rules of auto cross say that you can touch a cone and as long as it doesn't fall over, or get moved out of it's box...it doesn't count against you. Well, check this out... My car ran over the lip of the standing cone, flipped it over, and it landed just as you see it....still in the box.
So, is this a point or not? I don't think it is. Sure, it flipped the cone in the air, but it never went out of the box. Tell me what you think. I mean, look how far my car is past the cone!

Got a short video of a really close call which I'll link after I compress it.
I ended up 3rd....out of a 3 car class. My son took 2nd in another class with his 993.

Picture Here

There is no picture attached, but this is a covered issue. You can hit any cone as long as
it is still upright and it's base is still intersecting with any part it's intended chalked position,
when you're past it and it's stopped moving, whether it just shuffled over a bit, or it went
10 feet up and plopped back down on it's base.

Ok, I added the picture. But, it's still in the box. Point or no point?

No part of the base is still intersecting the chalk box. It's a point.

I think you should have received a trophy for doing that.

Hahahaha! A point was awarded! A trophy was not! I'm still going to frame the picture and hang it on the garage wall. "What's wrong with this picture?" ROFLMAO!

Wow, quite interesting indeed! We often joke about "if the cone flips in the air and lands back on the ground in the box it's still good"... a rare site to see but the cone is upside down and clearly out of the box, awesome picture.

Is this a pic of you too?:
Yep, that's me too! Where the heck did you get that picture? Were you there too? If so, what are you driving? Interesting numbers on the car, huh? I let my son's friend drive too. He ran the course faster than I did.

Here's a short clip of Sunday's activities. This is me at the start....You'll notice I have Fab Speed's track pipes on the car.... Until I rev it, you can't even hear it idling. It's a bit loud, but I drive it this way on the street and if you don't stand on it, they stay fairly quiet.

I was not there, I used to attend all the scca Deland events, took a break this year. However, I have a lot of friends that run up there each month.

Yeah, I got your PM. Why don't you tell us what you "heard"... and who the hell are you anyway? You make some serious accusations.... why can't you be a man and answer my PM? Are you an official, .... what? Why are you posting all of this on a public web board? I'm going to tell you this one time and one time only.
If you ever post another picture of my car on the internet I will have you in court so fast you won't have time to play these games. No, that picture is not considered "in the public domain" beacuse it clearly identifies me if you go to the solo site and look at the entries. I know you're only trying to make me mad and show others rage or something. Why don't you stop hiding? Who told you all this crap? Man or mouse? I guess we'll know if you don't reply. I have your car number.... I guess I can find out who you are myself. Then, the next time we run in Deland, why not show up? We can have a face to face talk about your "he said, she said" accusations. If you want to accuse me of something, don't do it on a public forum. Meet me face to face. But, I do expect you to reply....being so responsible and all.

BTW: absolutely priceless for the cone to land on it's top inside the box. Seen em flip and land back in the box rarely.

My prize was dragging one upright all the way around the course with it's base wedged between a side exhaust and the body. Let's say the cone was very soft at the end of the run !

Wow, Buzz. Thanks for the threats.
If you still feel that way after my last PM, like I said sorry I bothered to help clear things up. I'm not hiding, just didn't think the rest needed to be posted out in the open.
