I want to get started in AutoX. I've looked at the NNJR-PCA, Motorsports NE, SCCA but there seem to be a lot of different organizations which offer autoX/solo. Are there websites which lists the schedules of most of the different organizations? Also which organization runs the best events and which to avoid? Thanks.

I haven't done an PCA one yet, but in the area, the SCCA has a great setup using part of the road coarse and the parking lot. You'll just have to see which you like best. The SCCA ones are a great mix of cars, but each region does the runs differently and the track setup is different. Run that and the PCA and see what you like.

Try here: http://autox4u.com/
It's a compilation schedule of all the regions in your area. It offers link to the separate clubs and venues.

Smackboy,
I'm interested in going to a few and checking them out. I think they have some at the Meadowlands, and also at Raceway Park in Englishtown. Don't know about out by you, but I did find some info through my local PCA website (JSR).

PCA is a great place to get started. I've run with the NNJR guys a bunch of times. Their next one is 8/26. They are at the Meadowlands. Might be a bit far for you. Check out the PCA website and look at the regions page to see whats going on in a region close to you.

Do all the events that you can. Be sure to read up on what to expect/bring to the course. Things like water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, etc. It does not take a lot of car prep at all when you are a novice. Just arrive and drive.

I was just out today at Motorsports NE's AutoX School at Giant Stadium. It was a hike to get there, but more fun than you could shake a stick at. 16 cars running for about 4 hours. I must have gotten at least 20 runs. My tires are toast.
What are the best autoX forums?

sccaforums.com is the largest autocross forum on the internet, although as the name implies, it's SCCA-centric. Disappointingly (because of the sparse traffic), this is the most heavily trafficked autocross-specific Porsche forum.

You need to subscribe to The North American Pylon published by Kelly Communications, PO Box 1203, Pleasanton, Ca. 94566-0120 call 925-846-7728. 1-800-58-kelly to subscribe. This is a monthly publication that has nothing but autocross information.
SCCA rules are different from PCA in that SCCA allows "sticky hoosiers" in stock class , PCA does not. Lower your car and you are in Street Prepared with SCCA but not PCA.
SCCA has, far and away, the most autocrosses of any organization. I bought a GT-3 to compete in Super Stock against Z06's and Lotus Elise and Eliiges. The national championship forSCCA autocross is in a couple of weeks in Topeka, Kansas Last year there was like 1500 cars there.
good luck
