Default Will old tires fail tech inspection?

I have some old tires that still have some good tread, on some spare wheels. The only problem is they have some dry old cracking starting on the sidewalls.. will this fail tech inspection? I'd just rather burn up these old tires at autox rather than my street tires.. and i really wouldnt be that bummed if i blew one and destroyed the wheel or anything.

thanks.

It depends where you run, but I think most places would fail those tires. You may be ok with destroying a rim but what about putting the car into a light post or k-rail or another car. Safety first, right?

Cracks in tires are not good. I wound not feel comfortable driving tires like that in an autocross.

You MIGHT be able to slip by tech depending on how much they look, but that does not mean they would be ok.

Don't risk it. They won't grip worth a damn and could cause an accident that could ruin your day or someone else's.
