Check the results on the first three 2005 National Tours on the SCCA web site. These changes were published in FastTrack at the end of 2004.

Oops! You're right NJ-GT. The class summary at http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/Lists/2005/stockc.html erroneously shows all Boxster S in SS. But as you say, FastTrack from Dec 04 thru now confirm that '00-'04 S are still in AS and only the '05 is in SS.

Theres a reason for this. It's pretty obvious that the SCCA refuses to classify European cars reasonably, this is particularly true when it comes to Porsche and Lotus. If you want to be competitive, go with the Honda.
