Default First Spin

Z-man and company,
You said you aren't pushing hard enough until you spun the car atleast once. Well, yesterday at the Meadowloand, and had my first hard spin. A good three full rotations (Alot of fun actually!!). I accelerated too hard during a offcamber apex, and she just wasn't recoverable. Full clutch and brake and I just rode her down. She stalled, but I never hit a cone!

Good event yesterday, but very greasy. My times are coming down (46.814). My times are getting constant, but I'm ready for a LSD, just can't get the power down. Sticker tires may help too, but I promised myself I'd go the first year on street tires to make sure the tires don't mask my driving errors.

Smoother with the throttle would definetely help you get the power down... cheaper than an LSD to boot!

I'll hopefully be able to make it to the track in the 944 in mid august...

Sounds like you're making good progress. It's definetely worth sticking to street tires... For $$ purposes if nothing else. $80 a tire for street tires vs. $120+ a tire for R comps + another set of wheels.

I was driving the Black 924S with the design 90 rims.

The turbo is for weekend drives and Concours.
