Assuming no surprises, expect I'll be adding a 718 GTS 2.5 to my garage shortly. Assuming that happens, want to make sure these wheel/tire specs make sense before pulling the trigger. Want to stay Super Street legal for now.
Wheels-
BC Forged RZ05 (I think, still deciding!). 5x130, 71.6 mm
19x8.5 et 55 front 19x10.5 etc 45mm rear(Giving myself a bit of room to play with spacers) Tires-
Bridgestone RE-71RS
255/35r19 front285/35r19 rear besides taking a large chunk out of my wallet, any issues with this setup?
Have you considered the SCCA rule allowing you to drop down one size ( diameter ) with the same specs for more tire sizes and less cost? It would also be interesting to know what Greer is running as he is fast and obviously has the right wheel set up!

That is down one inch! No 19" OEM option on GTS, just 20".
My bad, I have looking at 19 inch wheels for so long I had a Senior moment -- at my age I actually am allowed that excuse, ha. Back to the drawing board and I should have known better since my quest for 18 or 19 inch wheels was with the knowledge I would be running SSP if I was cone carving. Since my main focus will be TTs, I might just have to figure on running Hoosiers and when I do autocross I will have to jump to SSP. Thanks for the correction and I will take my Geritol and go to bed early tonight, ha!

In retrospect I probably should have bought 18" Apex wheels, some LCAs and toe links, and just ignored classing
Abt12, my consideration also, and I guess wishful thinking caused a brain fart about wheel size, and I should know better as a member of SCCA for 42 years. Also a member of a couple other track organizations so the old mind jumbled the constanlyt changing rules of all of them into a morass of AARP confusion. I like your thought, as going 18 with wheels also means 18 with rubber and it is a bunch easier to pick up used Pirelli or Michelin race slicks in that size than any other.
Did a check with old friends in Topeka with SCCA ( and some solid info from Speedy Sean G. ) and I guess my old addled mind was not incorrect, one does have to stay within the +/- 7mm width rule, but in the Street Class you can also go up or down 1 inch in diameter, so.............now I can view some wheels in a 19 inch size with no worries.

Sean's a great driver who would've been faster than me in my car let alone his. The GT4 has 8.5f and 11" rear and I'm certain he ran 255/285x19 71RS on near maxed offset. I'm running 10.5×19 CCW custom wheels I bought here with same tire setups. Sean is also just simply fast.
Thanks Z3daddy, I would have to go with a 10.5 rear also since that is the size for a GTS ( if I decide to go with a Street set -up ), but I have a feeling I will be skipping that idea and go more with a NASA TT set -up. If I do that I would have to switch over to SSP for SCCA Solo Events and I would likely struggle to not be DFL with the talent in that Class. Sean is known to be super fast and I am hoping he takes the Natl. Championship in September in SS - always nice to have a Midwestern guy at the top of the podium.
