Default Oil Question...

I know i've been posting a lot of questions lately, but i want to make sure my car is ready before i autoX it for the first time... I was at the autoparts store today buying some spark plugs, and noticed that valvoline now has an SAE 50 Racing oil.... its the same price as most other oil that i was looking at... Valvoline synthetic and Mobil 1 synthetic.... I was wondering if anyone had used this and what their experiences with it were. If no one has tried it, I will be the guinnea pig i guess and try it out..

I don't think that an autocross will require a different oil than what you run in your car for day to day driving. Most runs are less than two minutes long so your engine is not stressed very long. I'd go to the autocross and find out what other folks are doing who have similar cars. They probably just change their oil more frequently than the Porsche recommended intervals.
