Has anyone here had their PCM fail to finish initializing, displaying the message "Loading media . . ." forever? The maps appear to load, but the navigation never starts and the time doesn't display.

My "fix" is to turn off the ignition and turn it on again. Usually, but not always, that will clear the problem and everything loads up.

Taking it to the dealer is a bit difficult, as I live 2.5 hours from the nearest Porsche dealer.

So I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions--other than taking it in for service.
