Custom ALPINE Splash / Boot / Start screen with OEM Look Instructions
#31
Yes I have a reception issue with the iLX-W650. It’s just not as good as when I had the stock system in place. I actually had the same situation when I installed a Kenwood in my corvette. I spoke to crutchfield support and did everything they recommended but never could get it to work well. I typically stream music so it’s not a big deal to me but it’s still a pain in the ***.

Alpine custom start screen
Hi guys,
Apologies asking for old stuff however I couldn't find anywhere straight info how to change start screen on some Alpine units. I have two different sets: IVA-D511RB and INE-W920R. Could someone tell me how to change splash screen with own logo step by step please...? As you know, these two units have no physical keys for Volume etc. as they used to be a touch-screen radio. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Hi, just wanted to put this information out there because it took me litterally AGES to make this work. I wanted to change the boot image on my Alpine car radio and asked around the world. Alpine UK gave me wrong instructions. No one seemed to be able to give me a clear and correct method. So here it is:
- Create your custom image, size 800 x 480 pixels
- Save your image in .jpg or .png (.bmp will NOT work, Alpine UK, for heaven's sake) onto the USB stick (make sure it is formatted in FAT32 mode), any name
- Power on the unit and insert the USB stick
- Select Radio as a source and then use the band button to select FM2
- Select Radio preset 1 (so that preset 1 is activated)
- Press the 'Volume button down x 2 (press volume down twice).
- Press the 'Volume button up x 2 (press volume up twice)
- Press and hold the BAND button on the touch screen
- Once in the Diagnostic Screen select '1.Opening Screen Customize'
- Select the desired file and press 'OK' to change the opening logo
- Press 'X' in the top right hand side of the screen to exit back to the source menu

Hi there,
What's about other Alpine models like IVA-D511RB or INE-W920R...? Anyone could help to sort out problem with setting initial logo on Alpine models without physical Volume buttons....?
I can't follow this procedure. Is there any other option to call Diagnostic Screen...? Any help will be appreciated.
