Default 1999 Boxster, question about replacing CDR-220 with Kenwood

I've just bought a Kenwood head unit to put into my Boxster, replacing the original CDR-220. I have various diagrams for the outputs on the CDR-220 and the info for the Kenwood, but there is just one thing I want to check before I do the install (maybe there will be other questions coming) . . .

I have a factory amplifier in the front boot. Does it draw power from one of the outputs from the head unit? Perhaps pin 6 on the connector that has the line outputs that I believe go to the amplifier?

Thanks,

Mark

After reviewing what literature I have on the CDR and the Kenwood, and speaking with someone at Crutchfield, it looks like the plan is to use the Kenwood head unit's power output for the antenna to power both the antenna booster (which I assume the Boxster has for the windshield antenna) and the amplifier. If anyone cares to comment, please do.
