Default Nav TV Poor Quality Sound

Hi, i recently purchase a used 997 with Nav-TV already installed. When switching from CD to iPod the sound quality is noticeably worse. I have tried fiddling with the EQ settings on both the iPod and the PCM to no avail. Has anyone experienced the same issue with the Nav-TV iPod integration? They say "audiophile quality" but it sounds closer to an FM transceiver.

If your iPod tunes were stored as MP3s, you'll have far lower resolution than CDs. Better to use Apple Lossless, FLAC or WAV. My iPhone sound quality into the AUX input is slightly better than the CD player in my car, with the Sound Package.

I have the same system in my 997 and the i-pod sound quality is just fine. In fact, a lot better than sattelite since it's not as compressed.
