Yes, they have done 6 of my cars, 4 Porsche's, and all have been great. Talk to Rod, he is the owner and a really knows his stuff.

Rod did my 964 cab 8 years ago. Great install and has worked perfectly since. I need to get the turbo down to him. He is only 90 minutes away from me.

Rod Birch started his business before Rennlist. He built a huge Porsche following as a member of the email list back then, I think it was after Porschephiles days but before the web based forums were created.

He used to to install tours, and did several to Southern California where he would install "the system" into mainly 911s. He installed an alarm in my 911SC sometime in the late 90s.

I would not hesitate to use Rod again.

Jamey Rawlings, porschetunes@aol.com, is another highly regarded installer, and did the install on my 993.

Both of them are very good. I went with Jamey as he is more local. Jamey used to own Paris Audio. He is on his own now, I think it is called Rawlings Audio and in Culver City/Beverly Hills and Monrovia. if you need contact info, let me know.

If you posed this question on either the 911, 964, 993, 996, 997 boards, I am sure you would get a lot of response.

Ended up buying a 911 in Florida so would have been a "little" out of my way. Will probably buy an amp and sub woofer box from Rob in the future.

Yes, I had them install (in my 2007 GT3RS) a top quality NAV/Stereo system including separate amp (in the trunk), replacing all the garbage OEM speakers, telephone mic, and SAT radio antenna. Their work was perfect (took 1 1/2 days to install), and the system performs flawlessly. Very satisfied.

Rod Birch is the authority on Porsche sound systems. I got the complete package for my 996 cab from him -- Pioneer AVIC double DIN head unit, Focal speakers, Audison amp, and his custom subwoofer package for the 996 cab. I highly recommend him.
