It's Audio Return Channel. My TV has his feature and I am planning to buy a sound bar with ARC so that I can just use one HDMI cable to get the sound to/from both. Problem is, I have to have my wireless headphone plugged to the TV all the time (use every night and it's not simple to unplug since the TV is mounted almost flat to the wall). This will disable the TV speakers and the optical out but I am not sure what it will do to the ARC function of the TV. Can someone advise?
