Curious if anyone's experienced a head-unit going completely dead (dash nor steering controls work), then it pops back on but the unit controls don't work (only ability is to navigate stations via the steering control).

Mine has been cycling like this for a few days; mostly is completely dead.

Dealership quoting roughly $2800 to replace. Thinking after-market but concerned about potential impact to resale value.

Vehicle is a 2010 911 Cab 4S. Bose premium unit.
