Default Opinion Paint My Rear Intakes Black?

I'm thinking of painting my rear intakes black to match the wheels (see photo). I've noticed the 991 turbo has a painted intake which IMO looks good. Opinions please

I personally like it color matched how it is now. If you go that direction perhaps mimic the 997 GT2RS with a black hood.

I prefer them to match the body.

Dare I mention the word "plasti-dip" ?

If they come off the car easy, you could dip them pretty painlessly without fear of overspray etc - reinstall and test it out to see how you like it before going full paint.

They're very easy to take off. I'd recommend getting them wrapped or dipped to try it out first.

I know it's awful, but for a temporary test to see if you like something, and the intakes can come off the car for application, I don't think it's the end of the world.

Black would look good wether you paint it or wrap it.

Saw this on Instagram, you can use as an idea of how it would look, maybe you can find clearer pictures on the account:

Wrapping them sounds like the best idea to me too. Cost-effective and reversible!

I did plastic dip to see if I cared for the black intake. I took it off a day later.

I think it looks good in pics, but not so good in person.

I don't mind that at all.

I was thinking of doing mine in dark grey for my Black Turbo.

I have a pair of OEM side vents available in perfect condition. Atlas Grey, without any broken clips.

You could paint them any color you'd like and still have your OEM yellow vents if needed to convert back to stock.
