Anyone eyeing the new GT3?
Any of my fellow 997TT owners eyeballing the 991.2 GT3?
I put a refundable deposit down a while back for an MT 991.2 GT3 and recently got a call from my dealer indicating I'll likely have a build slot coming soon, once the manuals come up.
If I were to make the jump to the GT3, it means selling the TT. I'm really struggling with the latter.

I eye'd it, yes. Then I thought about it.
Its got a 500bhp motorsport engine...so does the 997TT
Its got a 6 speed manual....also in 997TT
Its got electric steering and a bunch of other electronic doodads I don't really need
Its got the slightly chubby 991 bodystyle
Its got newer tech suite, which I don't really use.
Its got a GT spec suspension, which I grant you the 997TT does not.
So basically, yes, there is some benefit there and the NA engine sounds cool. But, the suspension differences you won't feel unless on the track (and I can't afford to track a $160k car), around town the engine will be pretty light on torque, and the sport bucket seats come with this ugly stripe.
So, I think I'll keep the roughly 100k plus tax it would cost to get into one, plus all the bull**** surrounding allocations, and just enjoy my turbo and my $5k boxster DE car instead.

Yes. Don't like the 991 body/chassis or the 991 center stack. Otherwise, all good.
Would love to do Euro Delivery of a PTS model. Maybe a year two build. Would have to sell/trade turbo.

Yep, number two for one at my dealership. I'll sell the 991.1 when the .2 comes in. The 991 chassis is phenomenal. The abilities of the new chassis completely eclipse anything prior. I love my 997, but it feels loose and sloppy in comparison (though quite a bit faster in a straight line )

Really curious to see how the 991.2 in general impacts the market value of the 997 TT. The 991.2 C2S has similar performance to the 997 TT and the GT3 is just going to be insane. Curious to see if either result in TT market value drop. So far the only thing that impacts the market is winter 😂

Would love one but optioned correctly with dealer mark up expect to pay big $$. Just sold my 997 S and bought an 07GT3. Should be great compliment to the turbo.

Was #1 on my dealer list for a '10 GT3, wanted PTS and some other goodies. Finally broke down and got my new '09 TT off the lot, made lots more sense for me for many reasons, including kids and back seat, still my "keeper". When I can afford to add a 917 for my DD, I may switch, meanwhile still a very happy camper.

I found the .1 GT3 to be extremely boring compared to the modded 997TT. Who knows yet how the .2 will be but I find each new generation to be a bit more civilized than the last.
I wouldn't pay up for it personally.

Yep perfeclty said! I am eying a Cayman for the wife but definitely a six cylinder. No four banger here.
