Disconnected battery and closed hood... whoops
In true idiotic form worthy of Martin short's performance in pure luck, I decided I would disconnect the battery on my 997 turbo for the duration of a 10 day trip. I disconnected the positive power terminal in the frunk and closed the hood. I immediately went to try and open it again and realized what a mistake I had made. You can't open the frunk/hood without electricity.
Ten days later (today) i went to use a booster jumper to connect the fuse box positive terminal and a door hinge and and pop the hood. While I get some sparks, I don't get power and I can't pop the frunk. Besides manually popping the hood (which I don't think I can even do because the jack and lug key would be in the frunk), what option do I have? Any reason why my fuse box + terminal isn't working? Is it because the battery is totally disconnected?

As a fellow member of Idiots Anonymous, I did this too once. However, I was able to pop it while the booster was attached to the fuse box terminal. It was a while ago but I think I remember having to use the keyfob frunk release for it to work.
(I was relieved because to access the manual frunk release cable, I'd have to remove a wheel...and of course the locking lug nut key was also in the frunk so I was looking at a tow to the dealer if it didn't work!)
