Default Lug bolts....

Picked up a set of gt3 wheels for my .1 TT. Will the stock lug bolts fit? I'm also thinking of getting new bolts as the old ones are looking beat....

Thanks

B

They should fit fine, as long as you're not using spacers (although I'd expect you are if you're using narrow body GT3 wheels?).

Check out the titanium lug bolts offered by the vendor here (World Motorsports or something, you can find it via the search function). Reasonable price and you don't have to worry about corrosion. Very light too although I doubt anyone would ever notice.

GT3 wheels are narrow body so you may already know you'll need spacers to make the rear wheels look right. The wheels you need are the GT3RS wheels which are wide body. NZskater is correct that if you are running spacers you need longer lug bolts.

pardon the ignorance, but I use GT3 wheels and no spacers. They look fine. They are wider than the stock turbo wheels. What am I missing?

Fronts are about the same - differences are in the rears:

TT width 11.0 offset 51mm
GT3 width 12.0 offset 68 mm
GT3RS width 12.0 offset 51 mm

The extra inch from the GT3 width gets you close but the GT3 rear will be retracted by about 4mm from what you have with the TT wheels. Most folks are looking to push the wheels out not retract hence my comment on spacers...but really a 4mm difference is hardly discernible.
