So, before shipping, dealership replaced PCM - the actual unit. Would that mean that the car now has the 997.2 PCM?

Rear fender flares in front of tires have clear protection that has yellowed a bit. Thinking about replacing with black like on the 997 speedster. Anyone done this? Are protective strips a porsche part no?

I replace these on any new (to me) Porsche I get.. SUncoast sells them in the clear or black flavors.. A little thicker than the standard clear-bra stuff that the guys that do the bumpers use..

As Tom Petty says, "the waiting is the hardest part;" i.e. I don't have the car yet. Edit - its now heading east!!
Hopefully I'll be able to give a review of the buckets and everything else very soon.....
Edit - would have been quicker to fly out and drive back like you did Ibanezgod - epic roadtrip!

Btw where are you in NJ? I work in Short Hills and live down by New Brunswick. I should see this beast in person! Really want to see those bucket seats
That was a concern of mine, great for racing, had concerns about DDing. But they look beautiful

Morristown. We'll have to GTG. There used to be a good meet in Chatham - haven't been in while - Cars & Croissants was the name.
Loving the buckets. Had sport seats in my RS and turbo, no lateral support. Only difficulty is getting into them.

On LWBS... limbo time
Again, beautiful TT and congrats and snagging this one. I'm off tomorrow to look at the triple-black 09 cab. We'll see what happens!
I mentioned in another post this being the 3rd TT built with LWBS I've run across in recent times. Theses seats are as rare as hens teeth and I just paid a pretty penny for a 9/10 set with crests to fit into my 2011 Spyder. I am planning an epic 11-hour run tomorrow up into the coastal mountains and will report back on their long term comfort but every one I asked has stated they are GREAT for long drive comfort.
Yes - they are a bit tricky to limbo into, all the while trying to protect the drivers lateral horizontal bolster from unnecessary wear. The technique I use is to 1. grasp the steering wheel with your left hand, then 2. reach over with your right and grasp the center lid / emergency brake and then 3. lift yourself up and over into them. Seems to work so far.
My real issue with them is that there is no heat for those oh-so-awesome top-down fall and winter runs. There is nothing like the experience of open air motoring in chilly weather with the seat heat on and the warm air blasting. Anybody added after marketing heat in them?
P.s. For those of you that really don't like them, there is a HOT after-market in Rennlist Parts Forum. Selling prices range from $6500 - $9000 USDs. Suncoast as new sets now for $9500, just to give you an indication of what you have!

Zeus - thanks for the limbo advice! Sounds like its doable. Looks to me like PO was not so good at the limbo, there is some wear on bolster.
I will be taking a long drive next week and will report back on seats. But again, so far so good.
On heating element - I thought i saw a thread on topic in this forum - maybe Ilko's orange turbo?
