Hi, just wanted to introduce myself... New member, new Porsche owner. Coming out of a high horsepower Corvette, moving into an awd platform. Excited to learn all I can about these cars.
New to me, pick up today.. 2011 Turbo S, Meteror Gray, Carrera Red interior, PCCB's, center locks, and only 14k miles. Car is cherry, 3m protectant up to windshield and mirrors. Car has already been tweaked by a Porsche dealership local to me. Eurosport exhaust, and tuned. I'm off to a local tuner in the morning to see where the car baselines horsepower wise, as well as seeing how it's running.
I'm a guy who likes to know as much about my car as possible... I got literally every service record on this car since new, including state inspections, and maintenance records. K40 radar was installed, clear wrap on front of car up to mirrors, and exhaust and tune is extent of mods pre purchase. I'll do more as I learn the best route to more, reliable horsepower. Anyway, just a brief introduction. Hope to learn more about this car, so I'm sure I'll be active here as I was on the Corvette forums.
Thanks all for any commentary or ideas as to where to smartly spend money on this car. Excited to begin this endeavor.

Welcome 996Gdzra! You have picked up a GREAT car! I personally LOVE the carrera red interior and am considering getting back into it with a 2008 Meteor Gray over C Red TT. So I know EXACTLY the look of your car and it is SPECTACULAR. This is the 08 TT.
There is something almost magical, so classic about the look that dates back to the 550's of the mid-50's. You may want to consider a white shift **** to really throw back the look. Anyways, congrats again and welcome to the Forum.
FYI - no pics = no car! Please post ASAP!

Thank you, that's a beautiful car! Did you get it or is that the one you're considering? These cars are soooo hard to find, and usually when you do find one it sells so quickly. I agree they're timeless and such a well built car. Thanks again for the compliments, look forward to learning about this car.

Congratulations on a beautiful car. Don't get so wrapped up by how much horsepower you have. Trust me you will never use all that you have, especially in Sport Plus Mode. There's nothing wrong with getting a nice tune however. I have a Softonic Tune. Love the heck out of it. And I added a DSC control unit this past winter. I can't see doing anything else at this time. Maybe new wheels in the future or a new Turbo on the next iteration. Just don't over do it. I've seen bad things happen to engines when stressed too much from too much tuning and tweaking. It's a great, car enjoy it.
