Default Which color wheels for Black 997.2TT

I just got a Black 997.2TT tan interior and the debate in my head is on. What color wheels to get. I am between hypersilver, black or gun metal. Any suggestions, opinions and/or pictures would be highly appreciated.

First, Congrats!!!!! on your .2 TT. Wheel color is such a personal choice. I really like the black on black sinister look, as you know most of my species find car wheels irresistible (sorry).
Next choice would be titanium...IMHO the wheels should complement not take away from the beautiful lines of your car... I'd also suggest looking at other black .1s and .2s for a little while until you say "Damn, that's it!!!"
Where did you find your beauty, if I may ask? My Master JB is looking... "LugNut"

went through this scenario recently too. i have a black 997.2T and was looking at any/all options for wheels.

wasnt initially sold on black wheels, but these HREs i got are all black, including the barrels and lips. as others mentioned, its add to the 'sinister' look. the black finish is glossy, so when cleaned up well - they look freakin' amazing, esp in front of the red calipers.

im now on the fence with getting black center lock nuts and black porsche center caps too. im using the grey center lock nuts and silver caps now - which isnt horrible, but i think the entire wheel black - would look sweet. its only another ~$,1000 for the black center lock nuts and caps....sheesh. :-/

nonetheless, wheels always come down to preference and availability.

20" HRE 590RS with PZeros, below are some quick & dirty pics:

IMSA, Formula 1 & Blancpain competing on TV right now. Pirelli WC on soon. Easy choices. IMSA 6hr FTW!
Too much brain power wasted on those 3 wheel choices when all look good and proper sharp and befitting. The choice should be between good/fitting and awesome! Proper ******* girth required.

Black cars really need a bit of contrasts like djilusion's dynamite looking car above. Either a different color or a polished lip looks the best. Personally I like a polished lip or the look DJilusion has going on. But with that said some times the whelel design itself makes it or breaks it. I have a friend that has a black turbo s with the factory black mesh wheels and polished outermost lip. One night we took some black tape and taped over the polished lip and neither of us liked the look. Cheers

Awesome wheels...love the color. Always liked that color on blk, red, and white cars.

Maybe you could sell the current caps and lock nuts to offset the $1K cost...or "maybe" have them painted/powder coated if there would not be a "removal tool" fitment issue.
IMHO, the caps and lock nuts in black would be the fishing touch on an absolutely beautiful wheel. JB

All black is just too severe with no contrast, IMO.

If black wheels, I'd lean towards a polished lip or hardware (similar to above) -- something to break up the all-black look. Another example below...

Maybe go old school with some Fuchs? Pic below...

Otherwise, I'd go silver, hyper, or clear brushed.

i still have my OEM spyder wheels, so figure i would just keep the grey set for those wheels (if/when i wanted to switch) and keep the black center lock for these HRE wheels.

it just kills to be think of another $1,000 that needs to be spent for those black center lock nuts and caps...ARGH!

Black rims tend to lose their detail, especially on a black car. Some contrast works better IMO. My old car with black gt2 rims.
