Default CHP 11-99 Members and general feedback

For Rennlisters who are members of the CHP 11-99 Foundation, has the CHP treated you any differently when pulling you over (assuming they see that you're a member)? Have the local cops been different (i.e. Sheriffs, LAPD)?

I remember getting pulled by a local cop in the San Gabriel Valley for a bluetooth ticket some years back and the biker seemed to not be a fan of the CHP (based on our discussion).

there is absolutely no difference in treatment whatsoever, just a seriously good cause for people that really deserve it...that is all it is, period!

Retired Leo, LAPD. CHP might give you a break on a minor violation-fix it stuff, but otherwise no. You can buy those license frames anywhere. Now, back East a PBA card is gold.

Nope. Traffic cops are revenue enhancers here in CA in the 21st century.

At one time, maybe it meant something. Now the state is broke and cops don't give a $hit about that kinda stuff.

Always wondered but never expected it would do any good, almost wonder if there could be a negative connotation that you are trying to buy them off. I did get pulled over many years ago by CHP. Turned out I didn't do anything wrong and forgot why but maybe he noticed something and wanted to make sure all was OK. I had a check payable to his division's fund raiser in my pocket, which I was dropping off at our then cars and coffee organizer, which I showed to him. I think he was impressed, but don't think I would have skated on anything beyond my illegal clear license plate cover (illegal in CA).
