Finally got my dream car, a 2011 Turbo S
Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a lifelong Porsche fan, with a 951, 993 C4S, and a 928S4 in the family over the last couple of decades. I turn 40 this year so my wife said she'd buy me a car. I've always wanted a 997TT, and after a few months of searching I found a 2011 Turbo S in Ohio with the five lug wheels (a huge plus for me since I work on my own cars and don't want to depend on a second person to remove a damn wheel).
Here's the build sheet:

The 'paint to sample' is really just Polar Silver, my pet theory is that this person wanted a car to match the 993 Turbo S press cars which were all Polar Silver on Red. Anyway, only thing I wish it had was adaptive sport seats, but the ventilated comfort seats aren't bad. Enjoying the car, especially now that I have RE11's on it. Price was $76K with the new tires. Mileage is 56,000.
Anyway, just saying hi, I look forward to many commutes and track days in this thing.

Congrats! Great color combination--the silver and red look fanstastic together. I am also a fan of the 5 lugs, not only for convenience but I think they're a great looking wheel as well.
Mine too came specced without the adaptives as my only "wish it had" item, but the comfort seats are great seats in their own right and after a couple months I don't miss the adaptives at all.

One thing I'm astounded by is how well the natural leather wears. Despite being perforated and supple (as opposed to Supple) there's hardly any wrinkling of he driver's seat despite 56K miles of use.

Love how the rear wheels have a subtle concavity to them. Every time I spend time with the car I find something else to admire. Looking forward to my trip next month to Zuffenhausen, going to visit the museum there.

They typically aren't. I'm in investor in a startup that sells off auction cars, so I had access to the Mannheim condition report for the car. The body and mechanical report were great but the cluster was lit up with a bunch of problems, which drove down price. Turns out it was just a bad battery. So dealer got a great price and so did I.

Truly love the silver and red combo, so classic and what a great deal you found!!! Not sure what the original sticker was, but well done... Enjoy this moment in your life and hug that great wife!!!! JB

Nice color combo...im one of the minority that hate the Adaptives seats. I pulled mine out to swap to the standard seats lol. The adaptive are just to tight for me around the back.
