Is there an aftermarket cupholder you've been happy with that sits low on the carpet?

Glad it worked for you. Looks great in there. This Ultimate Cupholder didn't work for me at all. Maybe our cars are made slightly differently as it just wouldn't work. I sent it back.

I am now stuck using my hiking/Nalgene bottle under the rear passenger floor mat. Not happy about it but it's better than putting anything in that cup holder up high by the dash. I do realize that for some of you this is a great solution. Not for me. I would never use it unless a pretty lady/future girlfriend gets in my car and asks quietly in a sultry voice "Steve, where is your cupholder for my side of the car for my bottle of water...".

I'd say "Right here honey", and cringe the whole way to wherever we're going.

I use a roll of black racing tape laying on the passengers carpet.
Holds a drink very well and it is always nice to have a roll of tape handy.

Interesting idea... Hmmm. I can't imagine how this would hold certain (most) drinks but I might buy one and try it anyway! The "behind the rear passenger seat" method isn't working for me at all since it kills my shoulder to reach back there each time (shoulder issue I guess) so I'm back to putting the Deer Park 8 oz tiny little bottle in the driver's map pocket. I barely fits in there but it actually is working the best right now.

Steve, my friend you are over thinking this to the max.
The stock cup holders work great!
Give 'em a try!

Ummm, yeah. I guess I'll just overthink it some more.

I just hate how drinks sit up so high on the dash with that stock cupholder. I like the nice clean look of the car when I get in the car, and when my passengers get in the car. With it sitting so high up there, it just doesn't look that organized/clean/orderly.

Ok, so I may have a slight amount of OCD.

I know it's none of my business, but do you really need a bottle of water within reach all the time?

I think we can attest to the fact that Steve has a 'slight' case of OCD

However I would love to get something like the Ultimate Cup holder if it sat straight. I am not afraid to drink fluids in the car, many times I need water or coffee at all times.
