I've searched the forum and found a ton of threads on durametric, but I'm still a little unclear how it helps. My ODB II scanner will do most of what the durametric does except: •Display and log actual values •Show ECU information.
My main question is, what are the actual values and ecu information specifically used for? Is it good enough data to customize a tune? Detect boost leaks? others? I'm not sure I understand what the primary use is for some of this data. Most of the threads I find seem to assume you already know what the data is telling you or is written in technical terms I haven't deciphered yet. Any help? Thanks!
That is exactly why durametrics is better than an OBD2 reader. It displays live data, it doesnt tune anything, but assists in actually diagnosing and verifying a problem versus pulling a code, guessing on a part replacement and hoping for the best. An OBD2 reader only reads codes from the PCM versus Durametrics will be able to read all control modules such as the ECM and TCM

It can read TPMS battery life left.
With Pro, Don't forget about coding. I got tired of batteries dying in the TPMS and coded out the TPMS module plus other coding along the way.
