Default Clutch switch bypass

I want to disable the microswitch that won't allow the car to start without the clutch pushed in. From my friendly search tool, it appears that you can either make a small wire and connect the two towers or use a tie wrap to keep the plunger closed.

1) is there a preferred method?
2) if you do the wire bypass, is it just a matter of removing the two connections and making a jumper that connects them?

Thanks for any thoughts,

I simply removed the two wires from the switch and spliced them together. Works perfectly.

Someone did this recently and posted some great pics - I'll see if I can find it. If you use Porsche dealer for any service be sure to let them know of this mod since 99% of the cars they start have a functioning switch.

Here's one thread I found:
