Default HRE Wheels | Introducing the Series RS1M

Introducing the HRE Series RS1M

We've continually refined our Monoblok wheels since the launch of the original P40 in 2006. The latest Series RS1M is the perfect evolution of the sophisticated engineering and elegant styling that has made our Monoblok wheels unique.

The result is a wheel series that is right at home on everything from a Porsche 911 to a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Say good-bye to the P40 hello to the RS1M!

The Series RS1M debuts with six new styles, including the 9-spoke mesh RS100M, the 7-spoke split RS101M, the 5-spoke twist RS102M, the 13-spoke multi RS103M, the solid 5-spoke RS105M and the 7-spoke RS108M. The Series RS1M is available 5-lug or center-lock and in diameters ranging from 19 to 22 inches and widths ranging from 8 to 13 inches http://bit.ly/1DHqtoc

Bring the P40 back! It looked better than this. Too many spokes.

Love it! Are you making these in 19" for a 997 wide body?

It's still around! Just no longer considered "current"

Yes, these are custom, made-to-order wheels

For those asking about Series differences, please read below:

Classic Series: You can almost think of the Classics as "Gen. I Straight Cuts". Straight profiles and very 2D in every way. However, unlike in the '90s where this was done due to a lack of capability, we have now done this purposely, and with more interesting profiles and an attention to the design that simply wasn't done in the past. This level of refinement creates a wheel that reminds you of the old, but they don't look old. When you see them up close, they're stunning.

Series P40: This was the original modern 1pc Mesh design. The icon. It has a lot of shape, but it is very soft and all the features are very 2D as well. No frills but it had pretty proportions that made it all come together. It was perfect for the time but the styling doesn't really work with today's cars given the lack of sharp angular lines. It is no longer aggressive enough.

Series P40SC: These are the first to get more contemporary profiles. More angular and less soft. The cuts integrate a 3D form-tool feature that makes them more interesting than the original P40. However, you will notice how the features between the spokes near the outer bead/tire area are stepped in a 2D fashion and not a clean blend with the side of the spoke.

Series RS1M: These take the 3D surfacing capability that we started using on the Series P1 and applies it to the traditional styles of the P40. Instead of a 3D form-tool cut like you see on a P40SC, these use a much more complex surfacing routine that allows us to blend the tapered side of the spoke into the rim feature between the spokes seamlessly. This gives the wheels a level of refinement and cleanliness to the design that simply blows away the P40/P40SC (we think so, at least). The Series RS1M is interesting because we use something much more complex and time consuming to make something much cleaner stylistically. This wasn't possible for us when we made the P40SC Series, which while still attractive, now looks almost amateurish in comparison.

I agree it looks great on a 991, but the p40 is still king on a 997tt IMHO.
