Default Do all 997.1 TT have Mezger?

I'm thinking about selling my '05 911 S and getting a turbo. I'm wanting to stay in the $75k range. I'm guessing that will get me a '07 or '08 or possibly a '09. Planning to go 6MT, as I've not been a fan of the Tip. Is there a reason to go with an '08 vs an '07? Seems to be more selection of '07s. It will be my daily driver.

thanks,

Mark

07 and 08 should be the same specs all around so select based on your preference on options, mileage, price etc.

And as far as I know all 997.1 TT have the Mezger engine

I believe that all 997.1 turbos utilize the Mezger/GT1 engine.

I'm not aware of any differences between an 2007 and a 2008 model. The cabriolet was introduced in the US as a 2008 model. There may have been new color options for 2008. The 2009 cars had a few additional options, like center lock wheels and ventilated seats. They also had PCM 3.0 as opposed to 2.1 in earlier 997.1 TT cars. I'm sure there are a few other options that I am forgetting.

Yes - 997.1 turbo includes 2007, 2008 and 2009 - all have Mezger engines.

Yep, get an '09 if you can find it in your range....PCM 3.0 and the classic block.
