997.2 Turbo roll bar install...for those who have done this or may know,

is it helpful to trim the plastic beneath the carpet just aft (to the rear for you landlubbers) of the front mount hole in order to get the roll bar in?

I saw that done on a YouTube install and it appears to me that my bar won't go in without a little more room in that area? Thanks

 

I just installed a gmg rsr bar in my 996 gt3. Modification was an absolute must!

 

I've done the tequipment bar in a 996, total pia! I hear the Gmg bar is easier. We used tow straps to toe in the forward posts. Yes, trim the plastic and beware the rear view mirror. Be careful not to cross thread the seat belt bolts, very easy to do.....ask me how I know!
