Ceramic brake pads???

no they are off the shelf. we share the same front pads as the carerra gt. took them awhile but they finally made a production run and introduced them at sema. just hit up millen motorsports and they can get you a set. i'm never putting stock pads back on. even when these dust, they are light grey and wipes off stupid easy.

I have had the ceramic pads from my original order in 2010. Love them. No dust or dirt. And they saved me from a possible incident. Had short distance to stop, and they performed as advertised. Worth the price of extra investment at time of order. They were almost half the price if you ordered them with your original specs.
Does anyone know the average miles that these brakes last on a street car, that isn't tracked?

FWIW, now that I have a car with them, I'm vaguely keeping track of hours spent sealing waxing and cleaning the wheels on the cars without them. Even using an hourly rate that no one could possibly command washing wheels, PCCB's don't come out ahead. but they are not stupid far off. And there's some value to feeling smug as any prius owner will cringingly deny.

So now I'm REALLY confused....
I thought the only ceramic pad set, front AND rear, were EBC red stuff, Hawk makes only the rear pads.
So are there other ceramic front and rear pads for steel rotor cars, (not PCCB cars) or not???
If not I'm just gonna get the Hawk HPS pads I had on my 996 Carrera.

I just ordered front and rear hawk ceramic pads. As Sidwin said they are making the fronts now. I called hawk and got the part#.
Front--HB483Z.635
Rear--HB651Z.624
Hope this helps end the confusion.

Keep me posted on these, please. My next mod to my 996tt is to put 997.1 calipers on it on all 4 corners. I want better bite than the oem ones and less dust is a big bonus. Everything I've heard about the HPS is that they aren't as grippy as stock, which won't fly for me.
