I'm really considering the painted option to add a little contrast in the cabin of my 997 TT cab.

I was just eyeing the factory full-leather one and thought it was sweet...till I saw the >$3K price! Will stick with my piano black for a while.

I have the factory full leather center console. I'd highly recommend it. I love it!

I used to want a painted one but the leather console looks classier and complements the car really well.

I agree with evilgloo. I have CF in one car and leather center console in the other. Leather would be my preference.

I really like the leather console and it's still something that I'm considering. I like the painted option because it will provide some contrast in my car to the Sand Beige that's everywhere else. I agree that the leather console is very classy looking...

Leather consoles are nice but with full leather interior in the same colour is just too much. I have a full leather Carrera red interior and i think its too much. Planning to get my centre console painted Meteor Grey Metallic to match the exterior.

Sorry about hijacking the thread.....I am considering to trade for this 997TT but the 70´s style vintage Mercedes wood trim is really holding me back. Is special tools needed for the trim removal?

I cannot believe this car came out from the factory with this trim but it did. Wood is all over in the car.

How do you pop off those tiny pieces on the dash..? And attach new ones? DIY or expert job?

You just pry them out using the plastic trim removal tools. You then just snap in the new pieces thereafter. Very easy DIY.

that wood is called makassar, that center console alone would be around $4,500.00 to replace.

i think its nice although it takes the sporty edge off the car and turns it into a real Grand Tourer looking car

that car has a ton of extended leather, whoever ordered it went Crazy with the options!

You know your thing. The Porsche dealer says the car has options worth 52.000 euros. Still cannot get over the school bus trim.

Thread totally jacked now...

That would be a deal breaker for me
