Not sure if any of you guys have been following but this to me is SO impressive!

I want this setup on my car. Anything faster would just be ridiculous!

Glad to see the platform doing so well. I don't ever see myself doing E85, but it sure seems to produce results.

It boggles my mind how much performance is available with E85, some bolt on modifications and customizing the tuning on the 997.1 even before changing turbos for aftermarket ones. This is Veyron territory people!

I would do the E85 but there is not enough stations near me to make it a viable option.. Too bad because like you said great power. It's like running 110 or higher octane.. You just need 80lb injectors..

Too bad its impossible to run e85 on the 997.2 currently.
I really hope someone figures out the fuel system on the dfi cars soon. Is anyone even trying? I know Champion was doing a lot of R & D years ago.
Has everyone given up?

What are you talking about? Of course you can run e85 on the 997.2. Upgrade fuel pump (easy mod), and run a specific e85 map. If you run it more frequently (doubtful since e85 is hard to come by, at least in my area) you should upgrade your fuel lines. I'll probably run e85 at my first race this season in April.

Once all my mods are here I'll most likely start a build thread as we put everything together.

I asked Dzenno from PTF about this and he said while you can run E85 on the 997.2 and tune for it the factory fuel system can't supply enough fuel. If it was just an in tank fuel pump swap away I'm sure we'd see it a long time ago. DFI is a different beast from old school on the 997.1. I heard they're working on it though.

No one has figured out how to increase fueling for the dfi motors yet.
Champion has talked about it for years, bmw guys have been trying for years. Only solution available is putting in additional injectors but I haven't seen anyone do it on a Porsche 997.2 yet

I have the Protomotive tune on my 997-1. I was interested in getting an E 85 map. According to Todd at Protomotive the only modification necessary to run E 85 is the map and 80lb injectors. There is no need to change fuel pump or lines.
Like I mentioned. There is E 85 available near me but not "near" enough lol!
And Plutonium.. Can you shed some light on your avitar?

Lines are really only necessary if you run it all the time, which most people don't anyway. But if you run it on a regular basis I'd switch out all the rubber connections.

Yeay, I'm looking at different injectors as well. I have easier access to race fuel, so I'll mostly run that map. The nearest station for e85 for me is 60 miles away.
