Default 12 TTS Coolant issues

I have been reading quite a bit about the coolant issues on the 07-09 Turbos. As I had an 08 that had the issue I was wondering if my 12TTS could have it as well or has Porsche fixed the issue on newer models?

I apologize if this topic has been covered, could not find it.

The coolant line issue is found in the Mezger engine. I have yet to see any issues surface on the new DFI engine.

The only other thing that is common is leaky header tank caps. My '11 TT was losing coolant through this but is fine with a new cap.

Worth catching it as the drain hole on the top of the moulded header tank is right over one of the dynamic engine mounts, which I suspect are more costly than a cap!

I have an 08 and dont beleave the couplings have been pinned. Do you guys feel this is a must?

Will it happen to all cars eventually or was it just a handful? Was it mostly early cars, 07s?

I'll probably do it since I only put 200 miles on it since I bougt it in December. Too much snow in New England now.
