997.2 TT that "new" to me :-)
Guys, been a member for a year now, love reading members advice, opinions, DYI instruction and o course pics.
I had the privilege to have as my first P- car a 2011 997 GTS, after researching / the opportunity presented itself and I decided to
Go with (trade in) a 997.2 Turbo.
So this weekend I drove the GTS Houston (awesome car, lovely NOISE from the engine when you step on it), and drove back home to far west Texas a 997 Turbo.
The Turbo is smooth, not as loud as the NA GTS engine, but definitely quicker to respond (sorry for the quick vague description lol), the tires were stickier and hugged the curves well, and all in all a good trip, not perfect though, as I cleaned the Turbo today, I notice not one but 3 rock chips in windshield, not big, the biggest is the size of a pens head, but I'll be calling safelite to get them fix sometime this week, unless any of you recommend to do otherwise.
I look forward to many years of driving, but hopefully no more chips on the windshield or paint, I knew the rocks from the semis hit kind of hard, I'll stay away from them from here on out lol.
About the car: 2013 (last production of 997.2) 911 Turbo with 4830 miles (5600 after driving it home), CPO until 2019 / 100k (definitely have peace of mind).
Here are two pics, sorry in advance, took them in a hurry with phone, I'll post better ones later this week.

If your rock chips are actually cracks (where you can see lines) they can be repaired. If they are just little pits, then they cannot be repaired. They will not be deep enough for the repair material to stay in.

Good to know, wouldn't want to go to glass repair shop and get charged for not actually doing any real repairs. They're more like little pits size of a pens head. I guess I'll hold off for now.

Yes I have 2. I spent 70 bucks. And they were not any better. Though in the guy's defense, he did tell me it would most likely do nothing but I wanted him to try anyways lol.

Your pictures are a great example of how my world looks whenever I go lensless.
Sorry about whatever pits or chips you're dealing with on 'er, but... honestly? Those don't matter.
Congratulations on the acquisition. I just got my 997.2T not too long ago, and (it being my first and only Pore-shah) I couldn't be any happier with it. Are you any better than I am at fighting off the urge to make full use of that throttle pedal after every. single. shift?
Mind if I ask what your interior options are inside the cockpit? Sorry if it's mentioned previously in the thread and I missed it.
