That's what I was roughly getting from my 360 F1. Pretty good really.

All joking aside, I get about 10 mpg in the turbo, but it is all hard driving on twisty hills, just for fun. I also get about 10 mpg on my 993 C4S. I think if you drive a Porsche hard you are going to drink fuel. Now the newer models are definitely more efficient, but when you are making horsepower they will all drink the fuel...

If you care about fuel consumption, and still want a Porsche 911, the only option is to go for DFI engine cars, and skip Turbo.

I see about 27mpg on the highway. Around town, about 14. When beating on it, well I don't know.

I picked my .1 up yesterday and drove 200 ks normally due to all the cops. But I did wind her up a few times and the computer said I was getting 12L per 100 k's.
Not sure what it equates to but it was pretty fair I thought.

At the end of the day who really cares.

Agreed with most post on this thread, I rarely look at my fuel consumption.

But that being said and looking at the MPG log on the dash of the car, I have not gotten more than 14.1mpg Lead foot FTW!

My original reply to this thread was similar, but after some months of looking at 996 or 997tt's for DD's, I get why one would care. For me, it's less about mpg than it is miles per tank. I'm buying a car for 300+ mile trips one way and I don't want to have to stop for gas every 15 minutes.

So, to the OP, I get it now

You better buy a VW Passat diesel then. 750 miles +/- per tank.
I bought a new Jetta diesel Sportwagon for the kid 6 mo ago, and she gets ~45mpg and 650 mi/tank on her wagon.
