What do you have to replace? The center locks themselves?

Is this your question - here's the kit to convert 5 lug to CL.

No, I wasn't following his comment of spending $3k after 7kms of track time?

Once again I'm bumping an old thread here, but I'm curious to know if its a straight lug bolt swap, or if there are any spacers or any other details about using the GT3RS wheels that you could share.

I bought a set for my 996tt and have spacers and longer lug bolts to accommodate them, but I'm not sure if I need them or not for the 997tt?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

I hope so... I just purchased a set. My only concern is the tire size. I currently have the 235/305 set up waiting to be installed, but I know others have bumped up to the 245/325.

What would you recommend for a 997.2 TS?

Either will work. 235/305 is the more "natural" for the wheel size. Although the rear rim is .5" wider the front is not unfortunately. I run 235/305 on 997.1 GTSRS wheels no issue.

I wanted to post this in hopes to help others from making the same mistake I did...

I purchased 997.2 gen 2 GT3 CL wheels for my 997.2 TTS and sent them directly to the powder coater for a custom color. To my surprise, the GT3 and GT3RS have different offsets. Make sure to buy the "RS" version opposed to the standard GT3 wheels. The standard GT3 wheels fit the narrow P cars but not the wide body cars... Hence the reason I just listed my gt3 wheels for sale.

I have the GT3RS CL's on my 997.2 as a second set -- they fit just fine. If there is a difference its only a few mm's.

I bought a set BNIB from a dude in Texas for $3800. I looked at other CL options at the time and they were way more expensive
