Default Aero lip installed

I picked up an aftermarket aero lip off ebay that everyone on 6 speed seems to have now LOL!. in any case I was skeptical but since I was bored with the stock lip I decided to roll the dice for $200. I got it painted to match and installed recently

have to say I'm pleasantly surprised how nice it looks. Significantly more aggressive than stock and much nicer with the paint to match IMO

thanks all, I really do think it came out pretty nice, especially for the price.

as for the request for more pics, unfortunately I don't have more pics of the aero lip but since CT944 asked here are some of the wheels

Nice!! I've been eying that too. But my car is lower and I'm afraid this "mod" might not last long... I already have 3 painted lips (1 on the car and 2 spares) for that reason.

How easy was the install - just fit the tabs and secure with 2 trim screws on each end, like OEM?

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm lowered on GMG springs so I was reluctant as well, but given how affordable it is I figured I'd give it a shot. The installation is as you describe, tabs and trim screws line up with the stock piece

here's the full thread on 6spd:

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...p-997tt-2.html

it started out as a GT2 aero lip discussion and evolved into this piece. You will find links to the ebay seller there as well.

but read the comments and you'll get a good idea of the pluses as well as some minuses. For example, the shiny finish out of the box looks like cheap vinyl IMO so if you get this piece you have to paint it or apply some other finish to make it look on par with the rest of the car. and some folks have complained about warps, but those are very easily correctable with the wife's heavy duty blow dryer

thanks all, really happy with how the mods have come together. I'm also getting a new steering wheel from DCT Motorsports, should be here by the weekend. Will post pics after I get it installed.
